ABOUT US

We design lighting ambiances using our passion and creativity.

SK lighting studio was created by Eirini Skafida and is an independent architectural lighting design studio. Through many years of extensive experience in a wide range of projects, the philosophy of the studio is based on the power of light, how it affects people, how it can arouse interest and highlight architectural projects in a unique way.
Proper lighting design is fundamental to the well-being and success of any space, so we create spaces that are comfortable, flexible and a point of reference.

Eirini Skafida

FOUNDER

Eirini Skafida is a graduate of Industrial Design (level II) and Msc Lighting Design from the School of Architecture Universita' degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza". She has gained professional experience as a lighting designer in Italy and Greece, counting more than 20 years, in a wide range of notable public and private lighting projects. In the past, she has collaborated with the University of the Aegean (Department of Industrial Design), the National Technical University of Athens (School of Architecture), and since 2020 she has been collaborating with the postgraduate program "Lighting Design" of EAP. In addition, she presents lighting projects and studies at European Conferences on Lighting and Architecture and is the author of articles in scientific journals. She is an active member of AIDI (Italian Association of Lighting Designers). Finally, she has published articles in architecture books and scientific journals concerning her realized projects.
